Editor's Note: Today I am wearing Elie Tahari blouse, J.Crew wool pants, Ann Taylor sling backs, and sweater by Anthropologie.
As I said yesterday in my blog I had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend especially having my twins home for 5 days. We had a wonderful family gathering on Thanksgiving Day at River Crest and came home to watch the Cowboys win which was so exciting!! Saturday Riley, Harrison, and I went to a Debutante Party honoring friends of Riley and Harrison's and daughters of good friends of mine. All and all it was a wonderful family filled enjoyable time and I thought I would share with you pictures from our two big events from Thanksgiving week. Happy first official week of Christmas! It is now the appropriate time to hear Christmas music. The lights are popping up on houses everywhere which is always so fun and festive to see! Happy Holidays everyone!
Event #1: Thanksgiving Lunch: For Thanksgiving I wore a new dress by Theory and my new shoes that I have been saving that I bought in New York this summer from the Coach store. I thought they were beyond sassy and I have been so excited to wear them for the first time! I have already have decided that this is the outfit that I am going to wear for dinner at the Carlyle Hotel in January on my trip with Kravet. I pray it is not snowing in New York in January! I am not found of all weather shoes.
My family has been shrinking every year and this year I had Riley, Harrison, and my niece Lexi all bring a friend. We had a festive lunch full of laughter!
I love this picture of my family!
Riley with her friend Chandler! They are both living in New York and having a blast!
Lexi with her boyfriend Cody!
I had reach my quota of pictures with Harrison so I had to sneak one of Harrison and his girlfriend Hannah!
Here we are at home having a bloody Mary before we go to the club.
The wonderful menu at River Crest!
The buffet was beautiful!
My best friend Beast gives me grief for eating shrimp and salmon on Thanksgiving but I love it! The Nest candle was a gift from Harrison's girlfriend Hannah--soo sweet!
Event # 2: The Deb Party: I wore my new dress from Carmen Marc Valvo worn with Kate Spade heels.
The entrance to Ridglea Country Club was stunning with all the girls names on the wall. I love the entrance carpet with the large polka dots!
How cool is this gorgeous pink thing over the bar?! The whole party was pink and beautiful!
Gorgeous flowers were on all the tables and I loved the napkins with all the girls names going around the edges. The Bottega evening bag was a gift to myself for completing a very large job two years ago!
All the debutante pictures were behind the stage with the band. I love the fabric draped on the ceiling and the elevated sofas that you can see on the left!
Another picture of the dance floor!
The oh so creative Bill Robertson who designed the party covered the large chandeliers with the same circles as the entrance carpet! So festive!
Beautiful flowers and candlelight behind the elevated sofas!
My childhood friend Laura! We have been friend since we were six.
I am so proud of my twins!
Steel Magnolia Tip # 85: Always dance like no one is looking! It will feed your soul!
