Editor's Note: Today I am wearing blouse from Ann Taylor, red wool pants and black flats from J.Crew and a Hermes scarf.
Saturday night I had the immense pleasure of going to An Artist Christmas at the Zoo as the guest of some of my clients. It was a beautiful fall night and walking to the event at the Zoo was magical with the animals on either side. I felt spiffy in my new dress! It is a good and a bad problem when your clothes from two years ago fall off of you so I had to have an emergency shopping spree at Neimans. Luckily all three dresses that I purchased fit so I am set for the upcoming parties in November and December. The party was all about selling local artist work for The Camp Fire First Texas Charity which does so much good in our community. The Camp Fire First Texas was founded over 100 years ago had since then has shaped youth and families. The early days of Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls, the organization has grown into one of the largest councils in the United States with programs for boys and girls which includes everything from camping to school readiness. Since I adore art this event thrilled me! I helped my clients pick out five pieces of art that we are going to use in my home that we are designing that should be completed by next February. A great evening was had by all and I truly enjoyed being a guest at this lovely event!
Saturday Night I wore a dress by Carmen Marc Valvo (which is one of my favorite dress designers). I was equipped with an up-do, Kate Spade heels, and my gray pearls and I was ready to go!
I had to take a picture of the flamingos that was beside the path on the way to the tent at the Zoo. Flamingos were Riley's favorite animals at the Zoo when she was a little girl. They are so precious!
A picture of the elegant setting for the party inside the permanent tent at the Zoo. It was so beautiful!
Another view of the tent.
The band was a 20's theme and so much fun!
The program had pictures of the art that was for sale.
This was my client's husbands favorite piece of art so we kept bidding till we got it. It also one first place. I have the perfect spot for it in their new home!

This will hang close to the kitchen in the new home! The colors are great! I love finding original art to go in my clients homes. So far we know have original works from local artist in the Fort Worth area, a piece from Baton Rouge, and a piece out of an estate in Kansas City. I know the collection will keep growing over the next few months which is so exciting!
