Editor's Note: Today I am wearing Misook skirt, Ann Taylor top, Henri Bendel poncho given to me by my darling daughter, and flats by J.Crew.
Yesterday Michelle and I had two fabulous vendor meetings. A breakfast with Schumacher and a lunch with Donghia. Today I am writing the blog on the fabulous fabrics and wallpapers that we saw at Schumacher. Karine our rep for Schumacher is one of the best in the business and is a wealthy of knowledge about fabrics. It is always such a treat to have her explain the history behind the new introductions. Yesterday was no exception. There were not only new designs in the line but there were new coloration of older fabrics in the line. All and all it was a feast for the eyes and sparked many ideas for me for upcoming projects. Here are some of the highlights of what we saw yesterday! Happy Thursday everyone! The sun has come out for the first time in days here in Fort Worth and the weekend is almost here! Yippee!
Schumacher has started putting up the latest board in the showroom which is always a fun overview!
Karine and the showroom manager James starting the presentation. Karine is holding up their new magazine. The lady responsible for the new Schumacher magazine is from Veranda and it is very well done!
I absolutely love embroidered fabrics and this one was stunning!
The close up of the black and cream color way.
As Karine went through her presentation she showed the new wovens that could go with the prints.
This bold embroidery was incredible, stunning, and I can not wait to use it!!
She is holding up a great new woven! Printed wovens are coming back into the design world in a big way! Which is so exciting to not to have to use solids all the time!

Karine showed us two prints that have been in the White House. Schumacher has such an incredible history. It was fitting the day after election day for her to point out two of the fabrics that have been used in the White House over the years by various designers. What an honor to have your fabric in the White House!
Jackie O with this incredible blue Schumacher fabric! This fabric was first commissioned by architect Stanford White for the White House in 1902, and then again by Jackie Kennedy for her famed restoration in 1962. Schumacher as reissued the "Blue Room Lampas" has an unparalleled legacy. How amazing!!
This fabric is out of print but as Karine says that Schumacher will resurrect anything in any color way for the right order. I would love to know which room in the White House this fabric is proudly displayed?!
Having a little fun with one of our favorites John Phiffer Mars as we holding hand handle mustaches fabric that Schumacher has created for the Men's Health Awareness Month-November. Half of the proceeds go to the Movember Charity.
Some other incredible introductions!
Love these printed velvets!
