Editor's Note: Today I am wearing my new Vince suede skirt (my splurge for the season), Ann Taylor top, and Banana Republic kitten heels.
As I have discussed many times we were in Palm Springs last week installing the job that we have been working on all year. One of the things I love about doing an out of town job I get to experience a different part of the country. There are many parts of Palm Springs that remind me of a large Disney Land with its gorgeous flowers and unique architecture. Even the airport is way cool, which is the first thing that you see when you land! The juxtaposition of all the green landscaping and golf courses against the dry mountains is a sight to behold! Here are some pictures of different elements of Palm Springs that I found fascinating. Happy Wednesday everyone! It's Hump Day!!
Many portions of the airport are out doors covered with permeant cool shaped tents. They even have buckets of umbrellas to pass through the only open air part to pass through to go to luggage claim. Truly a unique airport!
This is in the open air part from the gates to the baggage claim. The sun was setting and I loved this park like scene.
A view of the mountains from our hotel. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful!
Beautiful sunrise highlighting the peaks of the mountains and of course the Palm trees!
Bougainvillea bushes were used all over the city for landscaping! So unique especially for us! Bougainvillea are always gorgeous!
Another bit of landscaping!
My casita! Home sweet home for 9 days!
Even the Lowe's in Palm Springs has a water featured outside of the building. Very classy!
When we were leaving I noticed the Chihuly exhibit in the airport. There were 4 different glassed in pedestals with samples of Chihuly bowls. Simply stunning!
Close up images of the pieces of Chihuly art!
The custom chandelier that we designed in the kitchen is Chihuly inspired which we thought was so appropriate for the home and the area!
Steel Magnolia Tip # 68: When life throws you curve balls... throw them back! Keep going!!
Great quotes!
Dinner last night was tilapia seasoned with garlic, butter, lemon, and Tony Chachere seasoning served with zucchini topped with Chile oil and mozzarella cheese. Delicious!
Rascal Flatts is one of my favorites! I love all of their songs. This one in particular is so tender!
