Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a Theory dress with C. Wonder kitten heels.
I had the pleasure of going to hear Barry Dixon speak and join him for dinner in the past months. I bought his book at the book signing and have really not had time to analysis it. We have been so busy at work which is a good thing! I took a break yesterday in the office and pulled out his book and start analyzing all the pages and was totally enthralled. This is one talented man---who also happens to be incredible nice!! Here are some of my favorite pages that I marked yesterday. If you have not seen his book "Barry Dixon Inspirations" it is a must read! It truly will inspire you!
This gorgeous chair next to these gorgeous drapes is breath taking. I especially love the use of trim on the bottom of the drapes. I don't do it often enough because my clients animals but it is stunning!

I love the use of draperies to separate rooms. In my opinion it is so european and so elegant!
I have done this before with wallpaper covering the door. It is one of my favorite things to do in a Dining Room! The wallpaper doesn't always love me but it always turns out great!!
This dressing table with its elegant skirt is so beautiful! I love the ghost chair paired with it! The zebra rugs adds a lot to the ambience.
Oh the green in this room is so beautiful! I love the trim on the bottom of the chair. I am glad bouillon is back!
The canopy over this bed is so romantic! The colors are lovely!
Another stunning bedroom with beautiful canopies!
Everything about this moment is stunning!
The orange and pink in this room make my heart sing big!!
Barry includes a lot of tips throughout the book! Everyone is as good as the next!

Great quotes for a Steel Magnolia!
We were meatless last night! We had my favorite salad from Central Market that comes complete with apples, walnuts, onions, white cheddar, cranberries, and celery. I added avocado and it was delicious!!
I don't think I have found one Michael Buble song that I do not like. This one always makes me smile!
