Editor's Note: Today I am wearing a leather skirt from Vince, silk blouse from theory, and J. Crew flats.
Still catching our breath from being away from the office for 10 days on our Palm Springs install but we are getting back into the swing of things. I don't know how I missed talking about the April issue of Traditional Homes but there is a beautiful article on the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse which is well worth be discussing in my blog. I love these showhouses because the people that participate truly put their best foot forward. The designer in this home used incredible color, style, and taste in all the rooms. I hope you enjoy the article as much as I did. Happy Tuesday everyone! We made it through Monday!
This Den by Vern Yip is stunning! I love the draperies with their deep blue border on the bottom and I love the position of the upholstery. All the upholstery and the case good pieces have true personality!

The Living Room was designed by Michel Smith Boyd. The Donghia fabric on the draperies is so beautiful! Since I am working on a Transitional job anything that is Transitional really sparks my interest right now. I love the table used in this room and the lighting on each side of the very traditional mantle. The chandelier is also incredible!

The Grand Foyer was designed by Loren Taylor. I love the console, the lamp, and all use of many accessories that are pulled together on the surface. The antique mirror adds an impressive touch!

The Powder Room designed by Ann Wisniewki is incredible with this cheetah patterned metallic wallpaper by Thibaut. The gray vanity cabinet is beautiful against the wallpaper and I love the quarts counter top. I am using quartz more and more on jobs! The alpaca bench adds a great touch of whimsy.

The Dining Room itself is architectural stunning with the mill work. The flame stitch fabric by Schumacher on the Host and Hostess chairs makes a grand statement! The wool fluffy rug underneath the Dining Table is unexpected and such a nice touch. It reminds me of the 70's.

This yellow wall by the pool was one of my favorite things in this whole house. I adore yellow! It makes everything look so crisp. The pergola is perfect for the area adding just enough drama. The front terrace on the bottom left I love with the curve sectional seating and wonderful pillows. The outdoor terrace designed by Bill Hudgins is perfect for entertaining.

There are many features in this Guest Bedroom by Melanie Turner that I adore. The over-scale slipper chair at the foot of the bed and the cornice on the draperies--wow!

The vanity in the powder room is so cool! As is the unusual mirror above. The floor and the wallpaper also add to the beauty of this entire room.

The white and pearl palette in this Master Bedroom is so soothing and lovely! I have always dreamed of having a canopy bed as a grown up. I had one as a little girl expect not having the draperies coming down the side. This bed is fit for a true princess!

One of my favorite dinners--salmon with lemon and butter and asparagus cooked in the oven with Chile oil and spicy salt. Delicious!
