Editor's Note: Today I am wearing silk dress by Joie and flats by J.Crew.
This beautiful article about Jessica Chastain's apartment in New York really caught my eye. This apartment does not look like an apartment it looks like it could be a home on an estate. The design is elegant and warm and the architectural details of the building are stunning. This article was in the October issue of Architectural Digest which is becoming my new fabric magazine again! I am finding the articles crisp, clean, and enthralling and finally full of color! Happy Friday everyone! Make it a great weekend!
This Living Room is so usual for New York in my opinion. The elegance of the wood burning fireplace and the alcove on either side to store the wood give such grace and warmth to the wood. I love the color of the walls and the rich upholster. Beautifully done!
What a stunningly gorgeous lady! Jessica was nominated for an Oscar in The Help which is one of my all time favorite movies!
This incredible flat in Manhattan has six fireplaces. The Ralph Lauren green velvet sofa is so luscious! In the far left corner of the picture you can see the detailing of the hardwood floors--gorgeous parquet embroidered that French Brown does but I have a feeling this was original to the flat. I also love how the artwork is leaning against the mirror on the mantle I always think this is a cool touch.
Wainscoting coating in this room that was painting white is so dramatically tall and beautiful. The Venetian chandelier is gorgeous! I love the casualness of the Ralph Lauren plaid against the elegant dining table.
This custom made banquette done in a Ralph Lauren velvet that is nestled in this window is such a cool touch to the room next to yet another incredible fireplace.
How amazing is the surround to this door? Absolutely stunning! And yet another fireplace with some very interesting tile surrounding it. Note the hard wood floors again--simple beautiful!!
This elegant room is the foyer to the home with Ralph Lauren wallpaper. I love the wing-back chair and the rug is beautiful. More gorgeous wood work is wainscoting and the fireplace mantle is so warm!
Ralph Lauren chandelier in the kitchen adds a true touch of elegance. You can see the railing going under the top cabinets for a ladder--one of my favorite things to do!
This copper pedestal tub is simple incredible wow factor! The paintings by Jacques Nestle are so beautiful!
Ralph Lauren fabric in this Master Bedroom is as elegant as you would expect from Ralph Lauren. Yet another fireplace--boy I am moving into this flat tomorrow! How incredible!
