Editor's Note: Last night at a George Cameron Nash Dinner I wore a dress by Jonathan Simkha and Valentino shoes.
Last night I had the pleasure of going to a beautiful fall supper honoring Mr. Crans Baldwin representing Dedar and Hermes. The dinner was at the home of George Nash and Mark Williams in Dallas. The whole evening was a shear delight! George and Mark's home was beautiful and so well appointed in every corner! The dinner was on the rooftop terrace with the view of the Dallas downtown sky line. I had the pleasure of eating next to Crans Baldwin and loved hearing all of this stories. I am always honored to be invited to these dinners and it warms my heart that my vendors and showrooms in Dallas appreciate my business and loyalty. I had to miss the 2016 fall collection showing of Dedar and Hermes yesterday in the Dallas showroom. I asked Crans to tell me a fun story about the line last night at dinner. I truly welcome any stories behind the fabrics or the vendors that I can pass along to my clients. It makes it all much more personal. Crans told me the story last night of how the founders of Hermes came to the United States in 1920's and met with Mr. Ford. The were trying to work out a business deal with there leathers for cars. Mr. Ford showed them a prototype of a convertible that had a top that zippered off. The zipper was a new concept and was not in Europe yet. The Hermes founders took the zipper back to Europe and it was the beginning of handbags and jackets using a zipper. Stories like this fascinate me! Here are pictures of the dinner and of some of the new additions of the fabrics that Michelle and I found in the showroom last week!

Here I am at the party! George and Mark turned a home office into an intimate room for dining or drinking!
The banquette against the wall was stunning!

Mark Williams and Barry Williams in the Living Room. The Living Room was gorgeous!
Here we have moved up to the terrace. Breathtaking view! The gentlemen in the red pants had on a man version of my Valentino shoes. The photographer at the beginning of the evening was very amused that our shoes kind of went together and took a picture of just our feet!
The table setting was just perfect!
The lovely dinner was grilled lamp chops with salad, grilled vegetables, and rice. Delicious!!
They even decorated the hallway going to the terrace with these gorgeous flowers and a Hermes sign.
The evening could not have been more perfect!!
This is such a sweet song by the Carpenters. Always makes my heart glow!
