Editor's Note: Today in Palm Springs, CA I am wearing Ann Taylor blouse, AG Jeans, and Michael Kors flats.
Day six in Palm Springs! Things are moving right along and looking gorgeous! It is always such a thrill to see my work come to fruition. Like any out of town installs there are a few hitches in our install but we are dealing with them and moving right along. Today I decide to do a blog out of Palm Springs Life Magazine on a Alexander home. Alexander construction company built over 2000 homes in the late 50's and 60's in the Palm Springs area. These mid-century homes are all the rage again as they are all over the country. Since I am mid-century in age I like that mid-century is in style! I love the fact that designer Michael Ostrow wants to get rid of the notions that mid-century homes require mid-century furnishings. The furnishings of this home are fresh, clean and full of happy colors but very much in keeping with the style of the home. Enjoy the article and enjoy the touch of Palm Springs in your day today! It's Wednesday everyone Hump Day!! Hope your week has been productive so far---mine certainly has!
In a strange way the outside of the house reminds me of the Brady Bunch but in a one-story version. I love the blue door!
The Living Room has such a cool fireplace and I love the color of the walls. I am so happy that Trovus floors are coming back into Vogue because I think they are so clean and beautiful!
My employees at Bloomingdales called me "Kay Yellow" because I love yellow so much! I love the yellow walls and the yellow upholster in this room! The art over the sofa has such a commanding presence!
I love the blues and greens used in this room. So soft and pretty bringing the outdoors in! The light fixture is very mid-century but is so back in showroom floors now.
The geometric wallpaper in this Dining Room set the theme of this whole room. It is a piece of art in its own way! I love the casual Dining Chairs. The lighting in the room alludes to a skylight which I always love outdoor light coming in.
Beautiful white piano and I adore the light fixtures!
I love how minimalist this room is. I actually have those exact chairs in my room at home that were from the 50's! Amazing! I love the piece of art over the fireplace and the colored rocks that are in the base of the fireplace.

Steel Magnolia Tip # 63: Your appearance reflects your discipline. Discipline is the key to life!
Boy have I been focused this week!
Can I tell I am away from home? French fries sounded quick and easy to eat in the bar. Not very nutritionist but one of my favorite meals!
I love this oldie but goodie!
