Editor's Note: Today in Palm Springs I am wearing shorts from Ann Taylor, cotton top from Theory, and Paul Mayor flats.
Today in my blog I want to talk about another article in the Palm Springs Life Magazine on Pools in the Palm Springs area. I doubt there are many homes in this desert area that do not have a pool. Since many of the months are scorching hot! The article mentions how one of the best times to do work on a home is in the summer because the snow birds leave and the towns become quiet. Contractors are slower so they can get a lot of work done quickly. One part of Palm Springs that makes it look like Disney Land is the juxtaposition of the green lawns and golf courses against the desert mountains. Flowers in the flower beds add such a fabulous spark of color to this whole lush setting. The architect in this pool are beautiful and the surrounding landscape is equally as gorgeous! We are winding up our Palm Springs job today and putting up the finally touches. This is a magical place and I can't wait for the home owners to see the final product!
WOW! This Master Bedroom literally opens to the outside and looks out on the pool. How incredible is this?!
What an incredible backyard! I could stare at the vision of this all day long!! Beautiful done!!
The lighting in the pool and spa on the upper left is very magical at night! The entry on the right is so cool and so in keeping with the desert. I love the use of rocks with the landscaping here!
One of my favorite things to do is to have mondo grass in between the pavers outside. This whole deck area around this pool is stunning! I also love the teak lounge chairs! Just beautiful!
What an incredible chaise lounge! This looks like a work of art! I love the wall of foliage. Bougainvillea is used here even at gas stations to go up walls--the pops of pink are stunning!
Beautiful mid-century setting! I expect the Brady Bunch to come out any minute!
What an interesting way to add character to the landscaping with the flow of rocks! Even though there is very little green it is still beautiful!
I love these bocce balls with their bright blue against the beautiful green landscaping. The upper right picture is not of landscaping but was include in the article. I love the simple terra cotta and creme in the decor.
