Being an Interior Designer, I have the tendency to walk into a room and pick out details that I would change about the room. I hate to admit that but it is true. When Riley and I arrived at the Lake Austin Spa this past weekend I started to realize that my mind wasn't changing details about the rooms but that I was inspired by each of the rooms decor. The overall decor was very feminine but warming and inviting. I was inspired each time I walked into a different room and start to notice details that made a very large difference.
I loved the different antique fixtures and accessories that were small details but added a large difference to the overall decor of the rooms. The different grouping of seatings areas changed up the flow of the rooms and allowed for more conversation. I absolutely adored the lamps that clipped on from behind the back of the chairs. I really enjoyed the lamps when I was reading because as some of us older folks know regular overhead lighting does not do the trick when reading! Another piece of decor that inspired me were the cocktail table fabrics. I fell in love with those and can't wait to use them for a client! Every time I visit Lake Austin Spa I feel so inspired. The last time I visited Lake Austin Spa was when I realized that I wanted to start my own company and here we are today!
I just loved walking into this room! The bright colors are so inviting and just put you in a happy mood!
I love the lamps on the wall near the sofa! It just made you want to curly up and read a great book!
This is the image of the Dining Room area. I love mixing of the seating from the banquette seating to the round and rectangular tables!
I loved these chairs in the main Dining Room. Riley and I loved how the Dining Room over looked the Lake.
It was such a calming and relaxing room to enjoy our meals in.
How gorgeous is this chandelier?! I wish I could have brought it home!
I absolutely adore this fabric on the couch! The bright pastels with the outdoor lighting are so warming to the room.
The two images above is the spa waiting room before you enter to receive your treatment. I just love the mixing of the chairs and traditional furniture. The windows in the back have an amazing view of the Hill Country and lead outside to a large wrap around porch.
The Chef at Lake Austin prepared this fabulous meal of Chile Relleno.
I love Michael Buble and I can't get enough of this song! The Best Is Yet To Come!!
